Terms of Service
These are the rules for using Misa. We've kept them short and plain. By signing in or using Misa, you agree to them.
If anything here is unclear, write to prince@yoshilabs.io.
The short version
- Misa is a prayer companion. It is not a substitute for the sacraments, for confession, or for actually being at mass.
- Be respectful in what you write. Misa is a sacred space.
- You own what you write. We just store it so you can come back to it.
- Misa is offered as-is. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will be perfect.
Who we are
Misa is built and operated by Yoshi Labs, a sole proprietorship owned by Prince Yoshiko Intes, based in Davao City, Philippines. Misa is an independent app. We are not affiliated with the Catholic Church, the CBCP, or any diocese, parish, or religious order. Where a real parish is listed in Misa, we are showing public information and connecting you to that parish at your request.
Using Misa
You may use Misa to pray, set mass intentions, light candles for loved ones, follow novenas, read the daily readings, and keep a private journal. You may use it for yourself and your family.
You agree to use Misa lawfully and in a way that respects other people — and the sacred nature of what you're doing inside it.
Your account
You sign in to Misa using a magic link sent to your email. Keep your email account secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in to your Misa account.
You can close your account at any time by emailing prince@yoshilabs.io. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to harm others, attack the service, or break these terms.
Acceptable use
Please do not use Misa to:
- Submit hateful, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit content.
- Impersonate another person, a priest, or a parish.
- Submit fake or spam mass intentions to a parish.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use Misa for advertising, solicitation, or political campaigning.
- Violate any law that applies to you.
Misa is a sacred space for Filipino Catholic families. We will remove content and accounts that abuse it.
Content you create
The intentions you write, the names on your candles, your journal entries — those belong to you. We do not claim ownership over what you put into Misa.
To run the service, you give us a limited permission to store, display, and process what you write so that it works the way you'd expect — your candle on your own screen, your intention saved in your account, your journal entries kept for you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Our content
The Misa name, the illustrations, the prayer texts as we've arranged them, the design, and the code are ours (or the original author's, in the case of long-standing public prayers). You may use Misa as an end user. Please don't copy or rebuild it as your own product.
Scripture and traditional Catholic prayers themselves are part of the shared inheritance of the Church.
What Misa is — and isn't
Misa is a companion to your spiritual life. It is not a substitute for the sacraments. Lighting a candle in Misa is not the same as lighting one at the parish. Reading a reflection in Misa is not the same as attending mass. Writing a prayer in your journal is not the same as the sacrament of reconciliation.
For confession, the Eucharist, anointing, marriage, baptism, and everything else the Church holds in trust — please go to your parish. Misa exists to walk with you in between.
Disclaimers
Misa is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it accurate, but mass times change, parishes change priests, and reflections written by software can occasionally read awkwardly. Always confirm important details (a wedding mass, an unusual schedule, a fiesta) directly with the parish.
Misa is not professional spiritual direction, counseling, or medical or mental-health care. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a priest, a trusted person, or your local emergency services.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Yoshi Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that arise from your use of Misa — for example, a mass intention that didn't reach a parish in time, a notification that didn't arrive, or a brief outage. Our total liability for any claim related to Misa is limited to what you've paid us, which today is nothing.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law gives you and that cannot be waived (including rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 in the Philippines and consumer protection laws where you live).
Changes to Misa
Misa is a young product. We will add features, change features, and occasionally remove features. If we ever shut Misa down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your intentions.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms in a meaningful way, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. We hope it never comes to that and that any disagreement gets sorted out by simply writing to us.
